There is nothing like seeing the joy of Christmas through the eyes of a child. This is why on November 30, 2019, the Nurtura Land & Home team hosted a Candy Christmas Party for the children of the homeowners of Narra Park Residences.
The event started on a high note with a colorful parade of fancy Christmas hats donned by the kids. Clearly, the homeowners went all out in making their children’s hats.
To formally welcome the homeowners, Alsons Dev Assistant General Manager for Operations Luis Conrado de Jesus, Jr. delivered the opening remarks. He emphasized that hosting events like these is the company’s way of nurturing the community. He also encouraged homeowners to play an active role in creating an organized, harmonious and happy neighborhood.
“We want this to be your community. We want you to be involved and to take part in cultivating a wholesome and livable environment. Together, let us make a comfortable living space for our family and for our neighbors here at Narra Park Residences,” he said.
The party continued with an exciting game for kids and a magic show that transported the audience into another realm.
These were followed by a sumptuous barbecue buffet dinner for the adults and the kid-friendly Jollibee meal packs for the children. Everyone also enjoyed the food carts serving hotdogs, buttered corn, and ice cream.
After dinner, the games resumed — the highlight of which was the Newspaper Dance. Since it was the last game of the evening, it was open to all members of the family to join, making it more challenging and exciting. Everyone had a blast as they groove into the music while figuring out ways to fit their family inside a sheet of newspaper.
The most anticipated part of the evening was the awarding of the Best Christmas Hat Costume Contest. Eric John Apas, whose beautifully crafted purple Christmas tree hat was decorated with adorable reindeer cutouts, miniature presents, silver tinsel and dangling Christmas balls, won first place in the Male category. Izenne Marie Lomocso, who donned a Christmas hat creatively adorned with the iconic tree in the Narra Park Residences logo and went the extra mile as she cosplayed Jasmine in the Disney movie Aladdin, bagged first place in the Female category.
Recognition was also given to Thea Alum, who paired her DIY mini Christmas hat with Santa hat eyeglasses, and Shaun Caoiu, who also stood out in his tall Christmas tree hat adorned with gifts and eye-catching blue tinsel.
As the program closed, the kids were in for one last surprise—an unexpected visit from Santa Claus! He greeted each and every child and gave them loot bags to take home.
Indeed, Christmas is for children, and their joy was certainly contagious. The recently concluded Candy Christmas Party was a special time for families to bond and was a golden opportunity for the homeowners to come together and build genuine camaraderie as they continue to live and grow as one community.
