For first-time tourists, we highly recommend the Cob variety, which is pleasantly sweet and fleshy. For most locals, though, nothing beats the bittersweet notes of the native durian.

The Bankerohan Public Market offers the city’s widest selection of succulent pomelos, mouth-watering rambutan, exotic mangosteen, sweet lanzones, and juicy marang.

When it comes to cakes and pastries, Bistro Rosario is an institution. The homegrown restaurant’s Mango Charlotte is a staple in most celebrations. They also offer a variety of flavors of this bestselling cake, like ube, pandan, durian, and blueberry.

If you’re looking for a quick break from the city, head out for a BUDA road trip! The Seagull Steakhouse and Coffee Shop is about two hours away from the city. Their famed suman, served and topped with crunchy pinipig, and sikwate (hot chocolate) are perfect for the cuddle weather. Take time to also explore the beautiful scenic spots at the nearby resort.
